Last week in my Latin American cultures class we watched City of God, which coincidentally Prez Obama went to on his Latin America tour. The movie was really good. I’d heard about it before but never got around to seeing it. I find drug and development really fascinating, as evidenced by my earlier post about the increase in the Central American drug trade. Anyways, just thought it was interesting. And I’m glad to see the Prez playing some futbol.

During his visit to Brazil, this Sunday President Obama went to know one of Rio’s largest favelas, Cidade de Deus (City of God) and played ball with some kids from a local youth care program. Earlier in the morning Obama had met with Flamengo’s board of directors.
